Raining memories!
No low pressure zones, pre-monsoon showers, El Nino, global warming and what not! After hearing this freakin weather jargon shit, atlast it rained in Mumbai! Though it stuttered and stammered for a few days, when it came it really broke loose. As I sit in my balcony with a bowl of poha and sipping Bournvita, there it comes crashing down from the sky. Man! This is life! And as it came crashing down, countless rainy memories came crashing down in my head. Try this out: When it rains, close your eyes and try to think of the words that come to your mind. What I recollected was this: umbrellas, raincoats, puddles, kichchad, wet clothes, wet hair, wet bag, wet books, wet undies, wet roads, wet buildings, wet cars, wet trees, wet leaves, wet people, wet dogs, wet cats, wet hands, wet legs, scratchy and itchy everywhere, traffic jams, crowds, laughing on someone who slips, wet talks, wet jokes, wet girls :P, again wet clothes ;-), again wet talks, wet comments, wet laughs, train delays, waiting, phone calls, no network, accidents, waterlogging, swimming people, leptospirosis, filth, rats, frogs,...... etc etc, would rather stop before I could get more disgusting! Also some of the memorable ones: bhajias, piping hot chai, football on Road No. 2 (where we hit more people than goals!), Lohagad-Visapur trek, Rajgad trek, outings to Marine Drive and Worli Seaface, lukkhagiri in canteen, helping people on 26/7, tp on Road No. 2, etc etc. I could go on and on here too. Just hoping that this monsoon would also bring about something special!
